Trailer of the film “Soltini” released, showcasing the love story of Pariksha and Prakash

The trailer of the upcoming Nepali film “Soltini”, set to release on Kartik 6 (October 23), was unveiled on Monday at a ceremony in Kathmandu. The event was attended by the film’s cast, director, and members of the media. Present at the event were director Arjun Suvedi, actors Prakash Saput and Pariksha Limbu, Wilson Vikram Rai, Ravindra Jha, Sundar Dhital, Sujan Khatiwada, actress Sabu Gurung, among others.

The trailer presents an organic Nepali love story, sensitively depicting romance blossoming amidst social and familial challenges. It highlights the social discrimination, community inequalities, and struggles often faced in intercaste love. The narrative primarily revolves around Pariksha Limbu, portraying her love story with Prakash Saput as the central theme of the film.

Soltini is directed by Arjun Suvedi, with writing credits to Arjun Suvedi and Kumar Bhattarai. Alongside Prakash Saput and Pariksha Limbu, the film features performances by Sundar Dhital, Sabu Gurung, Sujan Khatiwada, Wilson Vikram Rai, Ravindra Jha, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, and Kavita Ale.

According to director Suvedi, Soltini aims to raise a strong voice against social barriers, caste discrimination, and inhumanity, while portraying the challenges lovers face in a society riddled with prejudice.
