Successful director Milan Tamang, known for his acclaimed film Maitighar, has announced his new project titled ‘Kaha Bhetiela’. According to the production team, shooting is scheduled to begin on Chaitra 20 (April 3, 2026) and is expected to wrap up by the end of Jestha (May 14, 2026). The song sequences will be filmed in Magh (January/February). The film’s release date has not yet been finalized.

Director Tamang has not revealed the cast and technical team yet, but he promised to share full details in the coming days.

“For now, we have only announced the film’s title. Details about the cast and crew will be shared soon,” he said.

Tamang made his directorial debut with Maitighar, which received critical acclaim and earned him the title of No. 1 Debut Director of 2082 BS (2025–26).

Among the three films released during this year’s Dashain—Hari Bahadur Ko Jutta, Balidan, and Maitighar—audiences praised Maitighar for its direction.

Maitighar not only performed well at the box office but also established Milan Tamang as a prominent name in the Nepali film industry. He is regarded as highly skilled in filmmaking, animation, classical music, and acting.

While Maitighar continues to run nationwide, Tamang stated,

“With Kaha Bhetiela, I aim to take storytelling to the next level and give audiences a fresh experience.”

Film analysts note that both Milan Tamang and ‘Maitighar’ have become widely discussed across the country, from local tea shops to social media platforms. His supporters believe that he has set a new standard in Nepali film direction, even competing with big-budget films like Balidan.
