A new Nepali film titled Kasturi, featuring Nikhil Upreti and Barsha Siwakoti in the lead roles, has been officially announced. The production team made the formal declaration on Sunday.
Dhiraj Agrawal, who has established a distinct identity in the corporate sector through Ten Plast Industries Pvt. Ltd., is now stepping into the entertainment industry. He is set to produce Kasturi under the banner of Ten Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
Written and directed by Reet Bohora, the film falls under the suspense thriller genre. According to the director, Kasturi will present a gripping story interwoven with mystery, fear, and intrigue. The film will explore psychological tension, murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Nikhil Upreti and Varsha Siwakoti. The cast also includes Nisha Adhikari, Brajesh Khanal, Shekhar Chapagain, and Nirmal Sharma, while the selection of other artists and technical crew is underway.
The screenplay is written by Brajesh Khanal. Dhiraj Kumar Agrawal serves as the producer, with Anjali Chaudhary as the co-producer. Alok Shukla will handle cinematography, and Lalit Bisht will serve as the chief assistant director.
Prashant Siwakoti will compose the music, with lyrics penned by Yubaraj Kafle. The film’s promotional design will be managed by Trident, while Dilip Pant is the production manager.
According to the production team, the shooting of Kasturi will begin in Mangsir (November–December) in and around Kathmandu. The team also mentioned that digital marketing and international market management plans will be finalized soon.
