‘Viral Gorkhe’ Sets Release Date: Hits Theatres on Magh 1

The new poster for the upcoming Nepali film Viral Gorkhe, starring Sougat Malla, has been released. Along with the poster, the production team has officially announced the film’s release date, which is set for Magh 1.

The poster features the film’s two lead characters, Sougat Malla and Srishti Shrestha, depicted in a romantic setting. The tagline on the poster reads, “Batasle Udai Lagyo Maya Mero”, highlighting the love story between the two characters. The song with the same title is set to release today.

The poster also includes likes, love reactions, and emojis, representing social media virality and engagement. Framed within a mobile screen, Sougat and Srishti appear as if they are creating TikTok videos or reels.

Viral Gorkhe revolves around the latest social media trend of going viral on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. The film satirically captures this widespread phenomenon, addressing a contemporary and relatable topic.

Director Nigam Shrestha stated, “Given its contemporary and relatable theme, we are confident that audiences will enjoy the film. With comedy and humor included, it’s a complete package.”

The film stars Sougat Malla and Srishti Shrestha in lead roles, with the story humorously portraying the viral trend that has recently spread across Nepal.

Produced under the banners of AK Brother Company, The GMI Academy, and Nirvana Film School, the film also features Buddhi Tamang, Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Paudel, and Rishi Dhamala.

Producers include Amit Shrestha, Vishal Tamrakar, Mahesh Lamichhane, and Keval Jung Kunwar, with co-producers Bhuvan Adhikari and Nikhil Paudel.

Cinematography is by Amar Maharjan, and the film was shot in Bhujung Village of Lamjung, Gorkha, and Chitwan. Viral Gorkhe will be distributed by Sunil Manandhar, with Shree Shrestha as co-director, and Bhandeprasad, Ravi Chaudhary, and Bhim Bishwakarma handling editing.
