The upcoming Nepali film Soltini, set to release on Bhai Tika, is currently on a nationwide promotional tour through Deusi-Bhailo events. The cast is engaging directly with audiences while promoting the film and honoring cultural traditions and social causes.
The main cast, including Prakash Saput, Pareeksha Limbu, Sundar Dhital, Sabu Gurung, and Sujan Khatibda, participated in a lively Deusi-Bhailo program on Sunday evening in Damak, Jhapa, organized in collaboration with the Yakthung Film Makers Association, Koshi Province. Both the artists and local residents enjoyed the festivities, and funds collected were donated to the Akshay Kosh of Limbu filmmakers.
The team also participated in the ongoing Madhumala Ramailo Mini Mela 2082 in Miklajung, Morang, promoting the film further. On Monday, a Deusi-Bhailo event will be held in Dharan, Sunsari, followed by appearances in Pokhara on Tuesday and Kathmandu on Wednesday as part of the film’s promotional journey.
The 2-hour 25-minute 33-second film Soltini has received a “Universal” certificate from the Central Film Censor Board, meaning it is suitable for audiences of all ages.
Advance ticket sales have begun, and theatres across the country have scheduled multiple shows, generating excitement among viewers.
Directed by Arjun Suvedi, Soltini is based on an inter-caste love story, sensitively portraying social discrimination, community inequalities, and struggles in love. The film stars Prakash Saput and Pareeksha Limbu in lead roles, with strong performances from Wilson Bikram Rai, Ravindra Jha, Sundar Dhital, Sujan Khatibda, Sabu Gurung, Prakash Ghimire, Prem Subba, and Kavita Ale, among others.
Soltini, releasing nationwide on Bhai Tika, is expected to deliver both entertainment and a meaningful social message.
