As the Tihar festival begins, today marks the second day of Yam Panchak, with households performing Laxmi Puja. Amidst the celebrations, artists are also preparing for the festival, which includes Kukur Tihar, where dogs are honored with treats.
In the festive spirit, the team of the upcoming film Paran, set to release on Kartik 14, has begun promotional activities. Leading actresses Keki Adhikari and Anjana Baraily performed a special Deusi on the first evening of Yam Panchak.
The special Deusi-Bhailo event, organized by Rastriya Lok Sancharkarmi Nepal at the Indreni Samaj Hall, saw participation from the Paran team. Alongside Keki and Anjana, the film’s director Deepak Prasad Acharya, production manager Anish Adhikari, and Samar Chaulagai were present. The event, which started at 5 PM, lasted about an hour and was facilitated by Indreni Samaj president Krishna Kandel, singer Saroj Lamichhane, Yuvraj Chaulagai, and singer Shila Ale.
Rastriya Lok Sancharkarmi Nepal spokesperson Shikhar Jung Shrestha welcomed the cast and performed Deusi. Singer Saroj Lamichhane also performed Deusi to welcome the team. Director Deepak Prasad Acharya gave information about the film while performing Deusi with Paran-themed verses. Actress Keki Adhikari joined in, singing a Tihar song as part of the performance.
Actress Anjana Baraily reminisced about her childhood Tihar memories, while production manager Anish Adhikari sang a special Tihar song to enliven the event.
Keki Adhikari noted that the festive lights and decorations brought a joyful atmosphere. Indreni Samaj president Chandramani Gautam emphasized that the event was organized in collaboration with the organization while focusing on cultural authenticity. He also expressed delight in welcoming the Paran team.
