The first song from the upcoming Nepali film Viral Gorkhe, starring Saugat Malla and Shristi Shrestha, has been released. The remake version of the classic hit “Batasle Udai Lagyo” was unveiled today by the production team.
The song features the voices of Trishala Gurung and Deepak Limbu, with music composed by Rohit Shakya and lyrics penned by Kushum Gajmer. The choreography has been done by Shyam Patel.
Originally, the song appeared in the iconic film Chino, sung by Kumar Kancha and Asha Bhosle with music by Ranjit Gajmer. The remake revives the timeless melody with a fresh touch and modern visuals.
The music video stars the film’s lead pair, Saugat Malla and Shristi Shrestha, showcasing their romantic chemistry, playfulness, and deep connection. The video beautifully captures their love story against scenic backdrops.
Just two days ago, the makers unveiled a new poster of Viral Gorkhe. The film is slated for release on Magh 1 (mid-January).
Viral Gorkhe is based on the growing trend of social media virality — especially on TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube — portraying how this phenomenon has become a social obsession. Director Nigam Shrestha shared that the film explores this trend as a reflection of contemporary society, mixing humor, romance, and social commentary.
The film is produced under the banner of AK Brothers Company, The GMI Academy, and Nirvana Film School. It features Saugat Malla, Shristi Shrestha, Buddhi Tamang, Laxmi Giri, Rajaram Poudel, and Rishi Dhamala.
Producers include Amit Shrestha, Bishal Tamrakar, Mahesh Lamichhane, and Kebal Jung Kunwar, with co-producers Shubhechha Poudel, Bhuvan Adhikari, and Nikhil Poudel. Kedar Shrestha and Nirvana Film School serve as executive producers.
Cinematography is handled by Amar Maharjan, with shooting locations in Bhujung Village (Lamjung), Gorkha, and Chitwan. Sunil Manandhar is the film’s distributor, while Shree Shrestha directed the action, and editing was done by Bande Prasad, Ravi Chaudhary, and Bhim Bishwakarma.
