On the day of Bhaitika during the Tihar festival, the teaser of the film Maan Binako Dhan, starring popular child singer Ashok Darji, was released. The teaser shows Ashok in an emotional scene, while featuring parts of a soulful song sung by Shiva Pariyar and Pramod Kharel.
The production team announced that the official trailer of Maan Binako Dhan will be released on Kartik 12 (October 28), and the film will hit theaters on Kartik 21 (November 7). The team has already launched an extensive promotional campaign across the country.
Ashok Darji, who rose to fame after being discovered by musician Tanka Budhathoki, was once a street singer asking for alms. His life took a remarkable turn after Budhathoki featured him in the hit song “Maan Binako Dhan Thulo Ki Dhan Binako Man.” Ashok is now a ninth-grade student in Kathmandu, and the film draws inspiration from his own real-life story while exploring broader social themes.
Maan Binako Dhan is written, directed, and produced by Tanka Budhathoki. The screenplay and dialogues are by Shivam Adhikari, and Minu Sharma (Sapana) plays the female lead. The film’s co-producers include G.P. Sangoula, Bibek Nepal, and Bijaya Pandey.
The ensemble cast features Ashok Darji, Saroj Khanal, Santosh Pant, Rama Thapaliya, Neeta Dhungana, Bhola Sapkota, Buddhi Tamang, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Ravindra Jha, Parbati Adhikari, Utsav Sapkota, A.R. Budhathoki, Shankar Shrestha, Samragi Thapa, Bina Raut, Babu Parajuli, Raksha Shrestha, Priyanka Jha, Vinay Adhikari, Aryan Pokharel, and Bijay Dangol.
The film’s cinematography is by Saurabh Lama, music by Tanka Budhathoki, choreography by Kaviraj Gahatraj and Ramji Lamichhane, and editing by Mitra D. Gurung. Navaraj Sharma serves as the chief assistant director.
