The Nepali film Baristha Balram, released on Bhaitika day during the Tihar festival, has received an overwhelming response across theaters nationwide. Starring Dayahang Rai and Vijay Baral, the film enjoyed impressive occupancy from its opening day.
According to the producers, Baristha Balram achieved 70 to 80 percent occupancy on its first day, with strong footfalls not only in the Kathmandu Valley but also in major cities outside the capital. Owing to growing demand and positive audience feedback, several theaters have added extra shows for the second day.

Buoyed by the positive reviews, the production team is optimistic about the film’s long run at the box office. Producer Tamang expressed confidence, saying, “The audience’s reaction gives us hope that Baristha Balram will continue to perform strongly for weeks.”
