‘Jari 2’ Receives Excellent Response at the Premiere Show

One of the most anticipated films of the year, Jari 2: Song of Chyabrung, has been released in cinemas across the country from Friday, Kartik 21.
A grand premiere show was held a day earlier at Big Movies, Kamalpokhari, on the eve of its release.

Directed by poet Upendra Subba, the premiere event saw a large turnout of film professionals and entertainment journalists. After watching the film, most guests praised it as an excellent portrayal of Limbu culture, highlighting that it effectively depicts the crisis faced by religion and culture during the Maoist insurgency.

The premiere was attended by several noted personalities, including producers Rohit Adhikari, Saroj Nyaupane, Raunak Bikram Kadel, and Arjun Kumar, director Deepak Prasad Acharya (Kaku), actors Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Divyadev, and Bipin Karki, actresses Aruna Karki, Pooja Chand, and Keki Adhikari, along with the Jari 2 team — director Upendra Subba, producers Rambabu Gurung and Maniram Pokhrel, actors Dayahang Rai, Vijay Baral, Miruna Magar, and Richa Sharma.
Actress Miruna Magar’s Limbu-inspired attire was a major highlight of the event.

Former deputy speaker of the dissolved House of Representatives, Indira Rana Magar, was also present at the premiere. Speaking to the media afterward, she said:

“I had watched the first part of Jari, and today I got to see the second one. I’m very happy. The film carries a strong message and presents a story from a different time period than the first part. The director has portrayed it beautifully. I loved it, and I believe audiences will too. Everyone should watch it once.”

Released worldwide from today, the film is expected to perform strongly at the box office, especially in eastern Nepal, where advance shows have shown strong occupancy.

Jari 2: Song of Chyabrung is written and directed by Upendra Subba and produced by Rambabu Gurung, Madhu Mijar, and Jeevan Gurung. The film stars Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, and Vijay Baral in lead roles.

Produced under the banners of Bansuri Films and Kabbadi Films, the movie is regarded as one of the most commercially promising releases of the year. It also features Buddhi Tamang, Richa Sharma, Pushkar Gurung, Prem Subba, Mao Tse Gurung, Manahang Lawati, Bishnu Moktan, Kamalmani Nepal, Anil Subba, Rekha Limbu, Bedana Rai, and Sirjana Ninglekhu.
