Nepali film Maan Binako Dhan, which hit theatres last Friday, has seen a steady rise in the number of screenings nationwide following positive audience feedback.

According to director Tank Budhathoki, the film initially received limited shows but has gradually expanded due to growing viewer interest and strong word-of-mouth promotion.

“The first day had fewer shows, but the overwhelming audience response has increased the screenings. From students to family audiences, people are coming to theatres in good numbers,” Budhathoki said.

Performances by Ashok Darji, Neeta Dhungana, and Ramesh Bishwakarma have received particular praise from both audiences and critics, he added.

On Monday alone, Cine Royal in Nepalgunj hosted seven houseful shows, while QFX Bageshwari ran two full shows. Likewise, theatres in Itahari, Birtamod, Damak, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Pokhara, and Dang have also reported growing footfall.

The film started with 95 shows during its release but is now screening in around 150 theatres across the country. Meanwhile, cast members have been visiting various cinemas in Kathmandu to interact directly with audiences and collect feedback.
