Two posters of the film Mirmire, directed by Yam Sherpa, have been released.
The posters feature the main cast members.
Dayahang Rai and a child actor, as well as Prakash Saput and Sirjana Ninglekhu, are featured in the posters. The first poster shows Dayahang Rai and Shaisa Gauchan.
Set against a dim light and a mountainous background, Dayahang and Shaisa appear like a father and daughter. Both seem emotionally strained—perhaps waiting for someone or grieving a separation. The poster also suggests that Dayahang is fulfilling both fatherly and motherly responsibilities toward his daughter.
The second poster features Prakash Saput and Sirjana Ninglekhu. Prakash appears as a student, while Sirjana is dressed as a teacher. Sirjana is seen with a gentle smile, and Prakash with a cheerful laugh.
It has not been clarified by the production team whether their relationship is limited to teacher–student or if they are romantically involved. However, judging by age, Prakash does not appear to be Sirjana’s student.
Mirmire is releasing on Magh 1. Presented by Yarsa Films, the film stars Dayahang Rai, Prakash Saput, and Sirjana Ninglekhu in lead roles. Other cast members include Maotse Gurung, Chhulthim Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, among others. Child actors include Shaisa Gauchan, Divisha Pant, Chirag Shrestha, and Namanraj Gajurel.
This is the first collaboration between Dayahang and Prakash. For director Yam Sherpa, this is his second collaboration with Dayahang; earlier, Dayahang also starred in his debut directorial film Karsang.
Yam Sherpa has also written the story of Mirmire. The film’s cinematographer is Alok Shukla.
Producers include Nimu Sherpa, Chongba Lama Sherpa, and Angchhirring Sherpa. Co-producers are Govinda Bohara and Sudip Kunwar. The executive producer is film distributor Rohit Kattel of RR Films.
Birendra Shahi is the line producer. Sudip Kunwar is the chief assistant director, Sanju Thaleng Limbu is the makeup artist, and Dilip Pant is the production controller.
The nationwide distribution rights of Mirmire have been taken by RR Films, led by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha.
