The short film “One in a Million,” based on the story of people who walk across borders to reach America, has been released on YouTube.
Written and directed by Vishal Sapkota, the film is produced with the investment of Sunita Bhandari.
Shot by Rameshwar Karki, the film features Hasan Raja Khan in the lead role. Subash Thapa, an actor currently living in the United States, has also acted in the film.
They are joined by Narendra Saud, Suraj Khatri, Prince Negi, Hemanta Nyaupane, Murtaza Aziz, and Reshad Khalil.
The short film centers around actor Hasan Raja Khan, who has previously worked in some Nepali films. The film portrays the struggles of Nepalis who attempt to reach America on foot, along with the lifestyle they face after arriving there.
“One in a Million” has already been selected for the Egyptian American Film Festival 2025 and Filmmaker Season Volume 11–2025.
Although the film contains no dialogue, the story is clearly conveyed through visuals and the actors’ performances.
