Adding a significant milestone to Nepal’s folk and dohori music industry, Eventoz Digital and Music Nepal have signed an agreement to partner as the official music partner for the much-awaited television reality show “Lok Dohori Star.” The agreement was signed by Uttam Thapa, Chief Administrative Officer of Music Nepal, and Devil Singh Rajput, the producer of the show from Eventoz Digital.
Present at the signing ceremony were Nirajan Maharjan from Music Nepal and Yadav Bahadur Thapa, the co-producer and administration head from Eventoz Digital. The event also saw the presence of show director Madhav Raj Kharel and judge Chandra Sharma, among other notable personalities.
Both parties expressed their commitment to presenting “Lok Dohori Star” as one of the grandest and most distinctive shows in the history of Nepali music. According to them, this collaboration will help promote the show’s original songs, dohori performances, and creative presentations nationally and internationally through Music Nepal’s digital platforms.
Produced by Eventoz Digital, “Lok Dohori Star” aims to bring talented folk and dohori singers from across the country onto a national platform. The panel of judges includes renowned artists Pashupati Sharma, Rita Thapa Magar, singer–composer Chandra Sharma, and singer–composer Amrit Khati. Space Television is the exclusive TV partner, and the program will also be broadcast through the official YouTube channel of Eventoz Digital. The mega audition for this season has already been completed.
Following the agreement, representatives from both organizations expressed confidence that this partnership will serve as a milestone for the promotion and preservation of Nepali folk music. The show aims to revive traditional folk music among younger audiences through modern technology and engaging presentation styles. The program is scheduled to air from the second week of Mangsir.
