The film ‘Abhimanyu: Chapter 1’ is set to hit theaters on December 3 (Mangsir 18). After multiple postponements due to various reasons, the long-awaited release has finally been confirmed.
The production team has also unveiled a new poster featuring the major cast members including Kameshwar Chaurasiya, Laxmi Bardewa, Kiran Shrestha, Sarita Giri, Shishir Bangdel, Gaumaya Gurung, and Prakash Dahal.
All actors are shown in their respective character looks. Kameshwar Chaurasiya appears with a bicycle, while others are depicted in their distinct character portrayals. The poster clearly highlights the visual tone and character designs of the film.
Produced under the banner of Seven Seas Cinema, the film will be released in both Nepali and Hindi across Nepal, India, and internationally.
The makers claim the film to be strong in both storytelling and technical aspects. Set against the backdrop of the Terai region, the film reflects the essence of Terai life — something also visible in the appearances of lead actors Kameshwar and Laxmi.
Directed by Sushant Gautam, the film’s creative director is Madan Thapa, with the story written by Mukesh Khanal.
The producers are Binod Paudel and Gunjan Giri, while Ramesh Chaulagain and Hari Shrestha serve as co-producers. Executive producers include Bishal Lama, Hari Moktan, Krishna Bhattarai, Nirajan Luintel, and Sandesh Shrestha. Jeevan Shakya is the line producer.
The film features cinematography by Sharad Mahato, VFX by Manoj Shrestha, color grading by Junim Gahtoraj, and editing by Madan Ghimire.
