The final list of candidates for the Film Producers’ Association committee election scheduled for Monday has been released. According to election officer Tarakumar Shrestha, voting will be held for the positions of President, General Secretary, and Secretary.
For the President, Sunil Kumar Thapa and Uday Subba will compete directly. The General Secretary position sees Kiran Nepali competing against Khagendra Prasad Lamichhane, while the Secretary position is contested by Yubaraj Giri and Kisan Pokhrel.
Candidates had until Sunday afternoon to register complaints or objections. During this period, Subba filed a complaint against Thapa, but the issue was resolved amicably, and Subba withdrew the complaint, clearing the way for a direct election for the presidency.
Other positions were filled unopposed:
Vice Presidents: Raunak Bikram Kandel and Jyotiraj Rai
Treasurer: Ram Prasad Rizal
Members: Chumbanjang Shahi, Tank Bahadur Budhathoki, Shridhar Paudel, Manoj Kumar Adhikari, Praveen Karki, Ghanendra Thapaliya, Rajkumar Pandit
Election officer Shrestha stated that the official announcement of all unopposed office bearers will be made during the 19th Annual General Meeting on Monday.
