The character poster of Dinesh DC from Nepal’s first sci-fi film ‘Aklo-1’ has been released. The poster, unveiled on Monday to mark his birthday, introduces him as the character ‘Drona’. Dinesh appears in a serious pose, and his attire hints at a spiritual nature of the character.
According to the production team, his character brings a pivotal turn to the storyline.
Directed and written by Pradeep Shahi, the film stars Dinesh DC, Pradeep Khadka, Vijay Lama, Sunil Thapa, Diya Pun, Suraj Singh Thakuri, Avon Raj Upreti, Trichu Rai, Krishnabhakta Maharjan, and Vinod Suvedi ‘Kshitij’, among others. The film is produced with investment from the NRN Group, with Pradeep Khadka as one of the producers.
Set for release on Poush 17 to coincide with the English New Year, the film’s executive producer is Vinod Suvedi ‘Kshitij’. Cinematography is by Babu Shrestha, editing by Rupesh Tamang, music by Rohit Shakya, and action direction by Raju Tamang.
The film was also promoted at the globally renowned Cannes Film Festival in France in May with a dedicated promotional stall.
