According to figures released by the Film Development Board, Upendra Subba’s ‘Jari 2’ has grossed NPR 49,222,976 in its first nine days of release.
Similarly, Tanka Budhathoki’s ‘Man Binako Dhan’ has earned NPR 24,335,587 in the same period. Both films were released simultaneously on Kartik 21.
‘Jari 2’ is the sequel to ‘Jari’, which was released two and a half years ago and grossed over NPR 170 million. The sequel stars Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, and other actors. ‘Man Binako Dhan’ is based on the life struggles of singer Ashok Darji.
Meanwhile, ‘Paran’, now in its third week, has grossed NPR 98,694,764, and Anmol KC’s ‘Jerry on Top’ has collected NPR 120,734,246.
