The Nepali film “Aa Bata Aama”, produced by Arya Entertainment, has seen a surge in international demand, with its screening rights officially sold out in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Israel. The production team confirmed the sale on Thursday.

Earlier, Himaru Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. had already acquired the screening rights for Australia and New Zealand, indicating a growing interest in the film across global Nepali communities.

Director Chandra Pant expressed that the encouraging response from international distributors is a positive sign for the Nepali film industry.

Directed by Chandra Pant, “Aa Bata Aama” features performances by Bippana Thapa, Pradeep Rawat, Pal Shah, Saigress Pokharel, Anshu Maharjan, Simran Pant, Usha Upreti, Bishal Pahadi, Rabindra Jha, Gajit Bisht, Hemraj Adhikari, Dilip Ukheda, and Rachana Gautam.

The film highlights a mother’s sacrifice, responsibility, and the way society perceives motherhood.
Its tagline — “Parents built a home with their sweat; we were forced to build a ‘passport’ out of desire and necessity” — has already resonated deeply with audiences, reflecting the emotional distance created by migration.

RR Films has secured the film’s distribution rights for Nepal, while OSR holds the digital rights.
Scheduled for nationwide release on Magh 16, director Pant appears optimistic about the film’s reception. This is his second directorial venture, following last year’s well–received debut, “Hraswa Deergha”.
