Nepali Film ‘Stri’ Set for Nationwide Release on March 12

The upcoming Nepali film “Stri,” written and directed by Jeevan Shahi, is set for nationwide release on March 12. The production team announced the release date along with the film’s official title design.

Produced under the banner of Mela Recording Studio, the film is backed by Samir Rai. The story is penned by director Shahi himself, with the screenplay assisted by Kishan Aryal. The film features cinematography by Ramsharan Upreti, music by Babul Giri, project management by Subas Kafle, action direction by Dev Maharjan, chief assistant direction by Chandra Bhandari, makeup by Shyam Baral, and costume design by Sukanita Chaulagain.

Co-producers include Sahadev Bishta, Pramod Bhattarai Pratik, Rita Shrestha, and Manju Rajbanshi. “Stri” marks the directorial debut of Shahi, who has previously directed hundreds of music videos. The social drama stars Pramod Agrahari, Salon Basnet, Rista Basnet, Namrata Shrestha, Dinesh DC, Deepa Shree Niraula, and child actor Dipsan Chilwal.

According to producer Rai, the film is currently in the post-production phase. OSR Digital has already acquired the digital rights, while Apple Entertainment, FD, and Rich Entertainment will handle nationwide distribution.
