Director Gyanendra Deuja has officially begun filming the highly anticipated sequel ‘Jhingedau 2’ in Panauti, Kavre, with a ceremonial launch on Monday. The film, made with an investment of around NPR 35 million, follows the storyline directly from where the blockbuster ‘Jhingedau’ ended.
The shooting commenced with the opening shot by lead actor Aryan Sigdel. The production has set a 60-day shooting schedule, starting with a grand set built in Panauti. The film will also be shot in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Sankhu, Tanahun, Bandipur, Devghat, Dolakha, Chitlang, and Palung. The makers aim to release the film during the next Dashain festival.
Produced under the banners of Kapangadhi Cinema Pvt. Ltd. and Film Crew Nepal, the sequel features a strong ensemble cast including Saroj Khanal, Aryan Sigdel, Mahesh Tripathi, Keki Adhikari, Aanchal Sharma, Kushal Bisht, Basundhara Bhusal, Chaityadevi Singh, Hiwala Gautam, Bijay Deuja, Asha Bhusal, Abhay Raj Baral, and Ashish Purush.
The story is written by director Deuja himself, while the screenplay is penned by Parichhed Sen, Govind Phuyal, and Shishir Chalise. The film includes action direction by Roshan Shrestha, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, music by Arjun Pokharel, and editing by Mitra D. Gurung.
Key crew members include Ishwar Ghimire (Production Manager), Chandra Bhandari (Chief Assistant Director), and art directors Pasang T. Sherpa and Manik Pakhrin.
Cinematography is led by Bishnu Ghimire ‘Kalpit’, while the film is produced by Sulav Pratik Deuja and Samiksha Deuja.
