Kathmandu — The production team has unveiled the poster of the upcoming Nepali film “Gobar Ganesh,” slated for release on January 14 (Magh 1). The poster features the film’s lead actors Marichman Shrestha (Balchi Dhurbe) and Barsha Siwakoti, confirming their on-screen pairing.
In the newly released poster, Barsha is seen pulling a rickshaw while Marichman sits cheerfully on it. Both appear in joyful expressions, suggesting a light-hearted storyline. The presence of waste bags, a dustpan, and a whistle around the actor’s neck indicates that the characters work as municipal waste collectors. The backdrop resembles the dense settlement of Kirtipur.
The poster’s greenish color tone hints at a positive and uplifting story, although the production team has not disclosed details about the film’s plot.
Directed by Marichman Shrestha, the film has completed its shooting and is currently in the post-production stage. Shrestha expressed confidence that the audience will love the film on the big screen just as they have appreciated his work on television.
Produced under the banner of Balchi Dhurbe Films, the film also stars Binod Neupane, Padam Tamang, Nirmal Sharma, Laxminath Timalsena, Santosh Baniya, Sandeep Lama, Mao Tse Gurung, Sita Devi Timalsina, Pujan Ghimire (Puku), Buddhi Tamang, Bishal Pahadi, Ramesh Budhathoki and Swastika Lamichhane.
