The widely acclaimed Nepali film Maan Binako Dhan, currently running successfully for five consecutive weeks in Nepal, is now set to be screened across the United States. The film, which emotionally portrays the inspiring journey of child singer and actor Ashok Darji from a small village to national recognition, has won the hearts of audiences nationwide.
According to the production team, preparations are underway to present the film to American audiences under the banner of Great Event Movie. The film has already grossed over NPR 38 million in Nepal. The US release has been formally announced, and shows are being scheduled in various American cities.
Members of the Nepali community in the US have expressed excitement for the upcoming screenings, recalling the support they had extended during Ashok Darji’s home-building initiative. Dr. Kumar Gurung of Great Event Movie, who has been promoting Nepali art, culture, and talent internationally, has also contributed to the US release.
Featuring strong music, a family-oriented storyline, and an inspiring narrative, Man Binako Dhan will soon be screened in multiple cities across the USA. The production team has urged Nepalis living in America to support the film and enjoy the heartfelt story.
The film stars Ashok Darji alongside Saroj Khanal, Santosh Pant, Rama Thapaliya, Neeta Dhungana, Ramesh Bishwakarma, Bhola Sapkota, Buddhi Tamang, Rabindra Jha, Parbati Adhikari, AR Budhathoki, Shankar Shrestha, Samragyee Thapa, Bina Raut, Babu Parajuli, Raksha Shrestha, Priyanka Jha, Aryan Pokhrel, Vijay Dangol, and others.
Directed and produced by Tank Budhathoki, the film’s story is also written by Budhathoki. The screenplay and dialogue are penned by Shivam Adhikari. The film is presented by Tank Budhathoki Production, produced by Bishnumaya Mainali, with Minu Sharma (Sapan) as the executive producer and GP Sangroula, Vivek Nepal, and Vijay Pandey as co-producers. The film also features music by Tank Budhathoki, cinematography by Saurabh Lama, choreography by Kabiraj Gahatraj and Ramji Lamichhane, and editing by Mitra D. Gurung.
