Kathmandu: A new poster of the Nepali romantic film ‘Kumari’, set to release on February 4 (Magh 23), has been officially unveiled. The poster features lead actors Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari in a romantic portrayal.

The newly released poster highlights the film’s romantic essence, the emotional closeness between a young couple, and an upbeat youthful mood. Designed with a soft and classic aesthetic, the poster uses a white-toned background symbolizing love, purity, and simplicity. Wave-like elements in the background metaphorically represent emotional currents of romance. The warm smiles and visible chemistry between the lead actors hint at a pure love story at the heart of the film. The poster has been designed by Royal Bhimsen.

Along with the poster, the release date of the film’s new song ‘Timi Bina…’ has also been announced. According to the production team, the song will be released digitally on December 18 (Poush 3). Following the positive reception of the earlier song ‘Kata Chhau Mero Phool…’, expectations for the new track are high. Sung by Kehar Singh Limbu and his band ‘Kehar and the Lunga’, the song has been gaining popularity on YouTube and TikTok, particularly among Gen Z audiences.

Directed by Dinesh Raut, Kumari is scheduled for release around Valentine’s Day, clearly targeting young audiences. The film introduces new faces Abhishek Khadka and Aakriti Rajbhandari in lead roles, alongside performances by Ghanshyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Aakanksha Karki, Madhu Khadka, Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane, and Manasha Sharma, among others.

Known for romantic hits such as I’m Sorry, November Rain, and Classic, director Raut had recently focused on socially driven films like Prasad, Prakash, and Pujar Sarki. With Kumari, he marks a return to the romantic genre.

Produced by Mahendra Adhikari under the collaboration of Binish Entertainment and Picture Frame, the film has Kedar Bhusal as its executive producer.

The story and screenplay are written by Bikash Subedi, cinematography by Susan Prajapati, editing and color grading by Suprim Parajuli, and sound design by Uttam Naupane.

The film’s digital distribution is handled by Motion Pictures, while theatrical distribution will be managed by DCN in the Kathmandu Valley and Kuber Cine Distribution outside the valley.
