INFFA 2026 to Be Held in New Delhi

Kathmandu: The International Nepali Film Festival and Awards (INFFA) has announced that its international film festival and awards ceremony, INFFA 2026, will be held in New Delhi, India, with the aim of promoting, honoring, and expanding the global reach of Nepali films.

According to an official press release issued by the organizers, the festival will take place from February 1 to 3, 2026. The primary objective of the festival is to introduce Nepali cinema to international audiences while creating a shared platform for creative and commercial collaboration.

The festival has opened submissions for Nepali feature films released in 2025, with the final submission deadline set for January 7, 2026.

INFFA 2026 will present awards in categories including Best Feature Film, Direction, Acting, and various technical disciplines. The event will also feature a red carpet awards ceremony, participation from national and international filmmakers and critics, premiere screenings, special showcases, and cultural performances.

Veteran actor Krishna Malla will serve as the Chief Jury for this edition of the festival. The jury panel also includes director Tulsi Ghimire, actor Sunil Thapa, actress Bipana Thapa, and renowned Indian theatre actor Abhatar Sahni.

The festival is chaired by Rajendra Ghimire, with Janak Deep Parajuli serving as the Festival Director (Nepal).

Organizers expect the participation of thousands of viewers and film professionals, positioning INFFA 2026 as a significant international platform fostering collaboration between emerging talents and the film industry.
