Kathmandu — The second song, ‘Timi Bina…’, from the romantic Nepali film Kumari, slated for release on February 4 (Magh 23), has been unveiled. The song was digitally premiered through Kendra Motion Pictures. Sung by Kehar Singh Limbu, the track features lyrics by Suman Tamang and music composed jointly by Tamang and Limbu. Audio production, mixing and mastering were handled by Esther Rigen.
The song delicately captures romantic emotions through its vocals, lyrics and visual presentation. The on-screen chemistry between lead actors Akriti Rajbhandari and Abhishek Khadka adds warmth and vitality, making the song more engaging. Following the positive response to the first song, ‘Kata Chhau Mero Phool…’, expectations are high for the newly released track as well.
Directed by Dinesh Raut—known for romantic films such as I Am Sorry, November Rain and Classic—Kumari is set to release around Valentine’s Day, clearly targeting younger audiences. The film stars newcomers Abhishek Khadka and Akriti Rajbhandari in lead roles, alongside Ghanshyam Joshi, Sunita Shrestha, Akanksha Karki, Madhu Khadka, Sanam Shrestha, Saku Shah, Saroj Lamichhane and Manasha Sharma.
After recent socially driven films like Prasad, Prakash and Pujar Sarki, Raut returns to romance with Kumari. Produced by Mahendra Adhikari under the collaboration of Binish Entertainment and Picture Frame, the film has Kedar Bhusal as executive producer. The story and script were written by Bikash Subedi, cinematography by Susan Prajapati, editing and color grading by Suprim Parajuli, and sound design by Uttam Naupane.
Digital distribution is handled by Kendra Motion Pictures, while DCN will manage theatrical distribution in the Kathmandu Valley and Kuver Cine Distribution outside the Valley. Posters and publicity materials were designed by Trident Concept.
