Kathmandu:
The title song of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Mirmire’, written and directed by Yam Sherpa, has been officially released. Titled ‘Mirmire Bho’, the song features vocals by Prakash Saput and Melina Rai, with lyrics and music composed by Saput himself.
The song portrays youthful romance, capturing the attraction and emotional pull that follows a first encounter between a young man and a woman. It poetically reflects the impact of the man’s gaze on the woman and celebrates her beauty through expressive lyrics and melody.
The music video features lead actors Dayahang Rai, Prakash Saput, and Sirjana Ninglekhu, and depicts a triangular love story. Both male characters are shown drawn to Sirjana’s beauty, suggesting an emotional conflict. This theme aligns with hints previously seen in the film’s teaser.
Scheduled for release on January 15 (Magh 1), Mirmire had earlier received positive audience response for its teaser, which highlighted an emotional father–daughter relationship along with tension among the three central characters.
In the film, Dayahang Rai plays the role of a father, while Shaisa Gauchan portrays his daughter. Presented by Yarsa Films, the cast also includes Mao Tse Gurung, Chhultim Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Dibisha Pant, Chirag Shrestha, and Namanraj Gajurel.
Produced by Nimu Sherpa, Chongba Lama Sherpa, and Angchhiring Sherpa, the film’s co-producers are Govinda Bohara and Sudip Kunwar. The executive producer is Rohit Kattel, distributor and head of RR Films.
Birendra Shahi serves as line producer, with Sudip Kunwar as chief assistant director, Sanju Thalang Limbu handling makeup, and Dilip Pant as production controller.
The nationwide distribution of Mirmire will be handled by RR Films, led by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha.
