Kathmandu — The Nepali film ‘PR’ has been released on the OTT digital platform MSM Video, making it accessible to audiences worldwide. The film began streaming on the platform from Thursday.
Originally released in theatres on Mangsir 26, ‘PR’ has now been made available digitally for viewers who missed its theatrical run. With its OTT release, the film is expected to reach a wider, global audience.
Directed by Shovit Basnet, ‘PR’ portrays the struggles, dreams, and challenges faced by Nepali youths who migrate to Australia in pursuit of permanent residency. Most of the film was shot in Australia, lending authenticity to its narrative.
Produced under the banner of Salon Salina Films, the film stars R.A. Suraj Paudel, Vinita Karki, Rajan Kunwar, Pooja Chaudhary, Ashma Adhikari Mastani, Bimala Khatri, Ganesh Budhathoki, Max Babu, Krishna Thapa, and Naveen Ghayal in lead roles. Veteran actors Neer Shah, Gauri Malla, Rabindra Khadka, Uttam K.C. Nepal, and Dikpal Karki appear in special roles.
The film is presented by Ranjit Shah and Santosh Tiwari, with Laxman Sapkota and Pradeep Dahal as producers. Editing has been handled by Bande Prasad, while the story and screenplay are written by Ganesh Budhathoki. RR Films managed the film’s theatrical distribution.
