‘Kalli’ Releases Teaser: Are Saugat and Benisha Gods or Demons?

Kathmandu — The teaser of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Kalli,’ set to release from Falgun 1, has been officially unveiled. The teaser stands out for its strong presentation and distinctive subject matter, instantly grabbing audience attention.

Produced by Kiran Nepali and directed by Laxman Sunar, the film is based on a story by Sunar himself, with screenplay and dialogues written by Mahesh Dawadi.

‘Kalli’ features an ensemble cast including Uttam Pradhan, Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Benisha Hamal, Sulakshan Bharti, Nazir Hussain, Barsha Raut, Begam Nepali, Binod Nyaupane, Rare Rai, Priyana Acharya, Arjun Gurung, Sanjok Rana, Gita Adhikari, Kul Bahadur Adhikari, Saraswati Khatri, and Shyam Magar. Child artists Upesh Dhakal, Manjila Baniya, and Samarpan Khatiwada also appear in the film. Actress Pariksha Limbu makes a surprise appearance at the end of the teaser.

The film is shot by Nishal Poudel and edited by Milan Shrestha, with music composed by Ashish Aviral, Sarit Rai, and Ketan Chhetri. Action sequences are choreographed by NB Maharjan, while Suraj Acharya serves as the production head.

‘Kalli’ explores the symbolic conflict between gods and demons, reflecting the internal struggle within human beings. The film portrays how virtues like hard work, honesty, and integrity coexist with greed, temptation, and desire—and what happens when the darker instincts overpower the righteous ones.

With its intense background score, impactful dialogues, and strong visual treatment, the teaser suggests that ‘Kalli’ has the potential to draw audiences to theaters. The film is produced under the banners of Lekali Entertainment and Kasturi Production.
