He noted that while 14 mother-tongue-focused programs were implemented last year, preparations are underway to expand the number to 15 this year, emphasizing that films made in native languages strengthen diversity, originality, and identity within Nepal’s film industry.

During the convention, special screenings of the Tamang feature film Tamangla Kola and the Tamang short film Hridayama Piva were held, drawing significant participation from artists, filmmakers, and art enthusiasts.

The convention elected a new executive committee, with Bhupendra B. Rikham Magar unanimously chosen as president. The federation stated that 13 members have already been elected, two have been recommended, and the recommendation process for additional members is ongoing.
