KATHMANDU: Film producer and distributor Karan Shrestha, popularly known as ‘Crazy’, has been included in the proportional representation closed list of the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Nepal (LSPN).
Shrestha has been listed under the Indigenous Nationalities (Adivasi Janajati) cluster. Actively involved in the Nepali film industry as a producer, distributor and actor, he has recently been distributing films through Rich Entertainment.
His inclusion in the party’s proportional list has drawn attention to the growing political participation of figures from Nepal’s film industry.
