Kathmandu — The Nepali film ‘Bom Bihari’ has officially gone on floors following its muhurat ceremony held on Wednesday at Hanuman Temple in Bhaktapur.
The film is directed by DMS Malla, marking his directorial debut after helming nearly 50 music videos. According to the director, the shooting schedule spans one month, beginning in Kathmandu before moving to Nepalgunj.
‘Bom Bihari’ revolves around the story of a character born to a Nepali mother and an Indian father, with the narrative centered on his journey. The film is both written and financed by the director himself.
Actors Suman Jyoti Nyaupane (Lyangee Dada) and Jharana Risal play the lead roles. Nyaupane appears in a negative role, while Risal makes her return to films after seven years. The cast also includes Surabir Pandit, Dhruva Budhathoki, Sandhya Shrestha, Pushkar Raut and Samrat Chhetri.
The film features choreography by Surendra Basnet, cinematography by Rameshwar Humagain’s team, editing by Gautamraj Khadka, and songs by Anupam Chaudhary. The release date has yet to be announced.
