Kathmandu — The shooting of the Nepali film ‘Bob Dai’, starring Saugat Malla and Simran Pant, has been completed on its 42nd day. Director Prabin Shrestha confirmed that filming concluded at locations in Chandragiri and Kirtipur within Kathmandu.
According to the director, the film has now entered the post-production phase. While all scripted scenes have been shot, two song sequences will be filmed in the coming weeks.
Presented by Rotaping Entertainment in collaboration with Shriram Balaji Films, ‘Bab Dai’ is a comedy centered on the story of a young man from Kirtipur. Saugat Malla plays the titular role. The title comes from the Newari word ‘Dai’, meaning elder brother, explained the director.
The film also features Santosh Pant, Bishal Pahadi, Pramod Agrahari, Kameshwar Chaurasia, Kushal Pokharel, Yaman Shrestha, Krishna Bhakta Maharjan, Geeta Adhikari, among others, along with child actor Agrim Pandit.
Written by Manisha Gauchan and Prabin Shrestha, the film is shot by Shyam Tamang’s team and will be edited by the director himself. The producers are Rajesh Ghimire, Roshan Bhattarai and Sunil Manandhar, with Rabindra Prajapati serving as executive producer.
The release date has yet to be announced.
