Kathmandu — Film director and producer Shovit Basnet has announced plans to take the entire team of the popular television show ‘Comedy Darbar’ on an Australia tour.
A formal agreement has been signed between Basnet and Vicky Agrawal of Comedy Darbar for the tour.
According to Basnet, the tour aims to entertain the Nepali community living in Australia, with preparations already underway. Most of the Comedy Darbar cast members are expected to participate.
Scheduled to begin in mid-February, the tour will run for nearly a month, covering around eight cities, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin and Newcastle.
Basnet is set to travel to Australia soon to oversee preparations. The tour is presented by Palpa Entertainment, while 3KG Event and Palpa Entertainment are co-organizers. The organizers have also announced plans to hold regular shows in Australia every two months.
Previously, artists such as Shambhujit Baskota, Yam Baral and Anand Karki have performed across various Australian cities.
