Singer and actor Prashant Tamang has passed away.
He died on Sunday morning at his residence in New Delhi, according to filmmaker Rajesh Ghatani, citing family sources.
Darjeeling-based singer Mahesh Sewa also confirmed 42 year Tamang’s death. He is reported to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
The Indian Idol winner had recorded several Nepali songs and acted in more than half a dozen films.
Prashant Tamang became a household name in 2007 when he won Indian Idol Season 3 .
His popular Nepali films include Gorkha Paltan, Pardeshi, and Pardeshi 2.
