Kathmandu — The Newari version of the popular song ‘Laija Khabar A Hawa’ from the upcoming film Aa Bata Aama has been officially released. The song was unveiled on Thursday through the OSR YouTube channel.
The Newari rendition is sung by singer and actor Yaman Shrestha. The song has received positive feedback from viewers shortly after its release.
The original Nepali version of the song, sung by Ravi Od, had earlier gained significant popularity. Expressing his happiness, Yaman Shrestha said he felt proud to sing the same song in the Newari language.
The song features lyrics and music by Babul Giri, while the Newari translation has been done by Madan Krishna Shrestha.
Director Chandra Pant stated that the film includes songs in both Nepali and Newari languages and expressed confidence that audiences would appreciate the effort. He also revealed plans to record the song in other languages in the future.
Produced under the banner of Arya Entertainment, the film stars Bipana Thapa and Paul Shah in lead roles, alongside Pradeep Rawat, Usha Upreti, Simran Pant, Saigres Pokhrel, Gajit Bista, and Begam Nepali. The cast and production team are currently engaged in extensive promotional activities.
The film is based on a story and screenplay by director Chandra Pant and features music by Koshish Chhetri, Babul Giri, and Thaneshwar Gautam. Choreography for the song has been done by Gambhir Bista and Dilip Okheda.
Cinematography is by Nawaraj Upreti, while dialogues were written collaboratively by Amar Neupane, Abhimanyu Nirbid, and Chandra Pant. The film is produced by Krishna Prasad Suvedi, Omkar Pant, Prakash Jung Kunwar, Dhruva Prasad Neupane, and Kshitiz Dhungana, with Karan Singh Rasaily serving as executive producer.
