Kathmandu — Ahead of its release on January 23, the romantic Nepali film Kumari is set to embark on a nationwide live musical concert tour spanning from Nepalgunj to Damak.
Titled ‘Kumari Live Musical Concert with Kehar and The Lunga’, the tour aims to blend cinema and live music on a single platform. The trailer of the concert tour was unveiled on Thursday evening in Kathmandu during a special event featuring performances by playback singer Kehar Singh Limbu and his band Kehar and The Lunga.
Organized under the presentation of Big Mart and powered by King’s Hill Premium, the integrated promotional tour will feature the band along with lead actors Abhishek Khadka, Aakriti Rajbhandari, and director Dinesh Raut.
Live concerts are scheduled in Nepalgunj (Jan 13), Pokhara (Jan 15), Chitwan (Jan 18), Kathmandu (Jan 21 at Bhrikutimandap), and Damak (Jan 29). The official trailer of Kumari will be released during the Kathmandu concert, organizers said.
The film’s song ‘Doko Bunne Nigaalo Choyaale’ has recently gained popularity. The track features vocals by Kehar Singh Limbu, lyrics by Sagar Lamichhane Magar and Suman Tamang, and music by Suman Tamang and Limbu. Limbu also performed another song from the film, ‘Kata Chhau Mero Phool’, at the event.
Director Dinesh Raut said the nationwide concert tour is designed to turn film promotion into a cultural celebration by merging music and cinema. The film is written by Bikas Suvedi and produced by Mahendra Adhikari.
