Kathmandu — Actor Dayahang Rai has described the film Mirimire as a story that explores the relationship between a father and daughter, along with the future parents envision for their children.
According to Rai, the film portrays a father who hides his inner struggles while showing happiness in front of his daughter. He said his performance focused on expressing these emotions from within.
While Mirimire may appear to be a simple father–daughter story at first glance, Rai noted that the film reveals deeper layers upon reflection.
“I chose this film because I am drawn to stories that seem simple at first but reveal more when you think about them,” he said. “This is not a film to measure happiness or sorrow, but one to be watched with passion.”
Rai added that Mirimire is a film that encourages viewers to think beyond the screen.
Written and directed by Yam Sherpa, Mirimire is set to be released on January 15. Presented by Yarsa Films, the movie features Dayahang Rai, Prakash Saput, Sirjana Ninglekhu, Mao Tse Gurung, Chhultim Gurung, Bholaraj Sapkota, Bimal Yadav, Shaisa Gauchan, Dibisha Pant, Chirag Shrestha, and Namanraj Gajurel.
The film is produced by Nimu Sherpa, Chhongba Lama Sherpa, and Angchiring Sherpa, with Govinda Bohara and Sudip Kunwar as co-producers. Rohit Kattel serves as the executive producer.
The nationwide distribution of Mirimire will be handled by RR Films.
