Another young Nepali artist has taken a significant step on the global music stage.
The song “Long Gone” by Nepali singer Ankit Shrestha has been featured in the Hollywood film “Greenland 2: Migration,” which was released worldwide on January 9, 2026.
The film is directed by Ric Roman Waugh, who also directed the original Greenland.
The main cast includes Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, and Roman Griffin Davis.
Ankit had uploaded the song as a lyrical video to his YouTube channel nearly nine years ago.
The video has so far garnered around 28,000 views. Despite the modest online numbers, having the song included in a Hollywood film is regarded as a significant achievement for Nepali music.
Ankit currently resides in London.
