Veteran singer Yam Baral has released three new songs at a special event held in Kathmandu on Monday. The songs — Yo Saajh Pheri, Jun Ra Sunkō, and Tender Maya — were officially unveiled by senior artist Madan Krishna Shrestha.

The event was attended by senior musician and professor Deepak Jangam, actor-director Dipashree Niraula, senior journalist Rishi Dhamala, and other prominent figures from the music and media fraternity.

Among the released tracks, Yo Saajh Pheri features lyrics by Rakhi Gauchan and music by Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’. The music video, directed by Keshav Raj Bhatt, stars Juna Karki and Yam Baral.

The second song, Jun Ra Sunkō, is penned by Sanjay Baral with music composed by Bikash Chaudhary. The video is directed by lyricist Baral himself and features Yam Baral along with Shree Thapaliya, Suren Paudel, and Narayan Pradhan Saiju.

Similarly, Tender Maya also carries lyrics by Sanjay Baral and music by Bikash Chaudhary. Directed by Nitin Chand, the video features Sandipa Gautam, Nabin Mahatara Kshetri, Rashila Shrestha, and Yam Baral.

Speaking at the event, Baral said he has returned to mainstream music after a long break. Active in music for over 35 years, he stated that he believes more in practice than publicity.

Chief guest Madan Krishna Shrestha praised Baral’s voice, calling it one of his favorites, and said the songs offered him emotional comfort. Musicians Shankar Thapa ‘Smile’ and Deepak Jangam also lauded Baral’s vocal depth and the overall quality of the new releases.

The program saw the presence of songwriters, musicians, journalists, artists, and several distinguished personalities from various fields.
