Kathmandu — The film ‘Gobar Ganesh’, directed by Balchi Dhurbe (Marichman Shrestha), has premiered today, coinciding with the Maghe Sankranti holiday. The movie explores the dreams and struggles of ordinary citizens in Kathmandu.
The story highlights the challenges of achieving a comfortable life in the city, portraying the gap between aspiration and reality.
Presented by Balchi Dhurbe Films, Gobar Ganesh has a runtime of 140 minutes and is scheduled for 112 shows nationwide.
The cast includes Balchi Dhurbe, Varsha Shivakoti, Binod Nyaupane, Padam Tamang, Nirmal Sharma, Laxminath Timalsena, Santosh Bania, Sandeep Lama, Mao Tse Gurung, Sitadevi Timalsina, Pujan Ghimire (Puku), Buddhi Tamang, Bishal Pahadi, Ramesh Budhathoki, and Swastika Lamichhane.
The crew features Taranath Neupane as chief editor, Yogesh Kaji Shah on BGM, Shankar Pandey in production, Shivram Shrestha as DOP, and Bipin Mall in editing. Publicity design is by Tauba Studio, and OSR Digital is the film’s digital partner. Distribution is managed by Shri Benkatesh Entertainment.
