Kathmandu — The saying “nothing comes before time or beyond destiny” is set to find life on the silver screen. Turning a long-cherished dream into reality, Raghuji Films has officially announced two new Nepali films — ‘Kalakatti’ and ‘Kakako Bihe’, each offering a distinct narrative and cinematic world.

The films are being produced through the collaboration of writer-director Amardeep Sapkota and journalist Raghunath Sapkota. The production team believes the projects will bring fresh energy, new ideas, and a different cinematic approach to Nepali cinema. Both films are slated for release in 2026 (2083 BS).

Although the initial plan was to launch the films with a teaser on Magh 1, unforeseen circumstances delayed the release. Instead, the production house unveiled the first look posters, officially announcing the projects and generating curiosity among film enthusiasts.

Among the two, ‘Kalakatti’ is set to move into the filming phase first. Shooting is scheduled to begin by the end of Magh, while casting and technical team selection are currently underway.

Produced by Raghunath Sapkota, Kalakatti is written and directed by Amardeep Sapkota. Cinematography will be handled by Nisal Poudel, with music composed by Bhim Bista.

The film will be distributed nationwide by RR Films, while OSR Digital has acquired its digital rights, strengthening its market reach.

Following the release of the poster, curiosity has grown regarding the story, conflict, and cinematic experience Kalakatty will offer. The production team has announced that a teaser and further details will be revealed soon. After completing Kalakatti, filming for ‘Kakako Bihe’ will begin.
