Kathmandu — The trailer of the upcoming Nepali film ‘Aa Bata Ama’, set to release on Magh 16, has been officially released. The trailer was unveiled at an event organized by the film’s production team in Kathmandu.

The trailer presents recent socio-economic realities of Nepal, focusing on a son who goes abroad to secure his future due to lack of opportunities, and the deep love and sacrifices of his parents.

In the film, Bipana Thapa plays the mother, Indian veteran actor Pradeep Rawat plays the father, and Paul Shah plays the son. The trailer highlights the strong emotional bond among them.

Director Chandra Pant has crafted the story around the emotional relationship between parents and children in a rural setting. The film’s slogan reads:
“Our parents built the house through hard work; we made the passport out of desire and necessity.”
This captures the struggles of Nepalese forced to move abroad.

The trailer features actors Bipana Thapa, Paul Shah, Pradeep Rawat, Bishal Pahadi, Ravindra Jha, Saigres Pokhrel, Simran Pant, Gajit Bista, Hemraj Adhikari, Usha Upreti, and Dilip Ukheda.

The film is directed and written by Chandra Pant. The producers are Dhruv Nyaupane, Prakash Kunwar, and Kshitiz Dhungana, with executive producers Krishna Prasad Suvedi and Omkar Pant.

Produced under the banner of Arya Entertainment, the DOP is Navaraj Upreti, and music is composed by Koshish Kshetri, Babul Giri, and Thaneshwar Gautam. Distribution rights are held by RR Films, and digital rights by OSR Digital.
