Kaski — The complete filming of Nepali movie ‘Pension Patta’, directed by character actor Maotse Gurung, has been wrapped up. The final clapboard shot was completed on Tuesday at a resort in Kaski after 33 days of shooting, Gurung confirmed.
He said, “All the cast and technical crew worked tirelessly day and night. I am grateful to everyone. Post-production will begin in a few days, and the release date will be announced accordingly. We are committed to delivering a quality film without any compromise.”
The film stars Dayahang Rai, Sunil Thapa, Pashupati Rai, Gaumaya Gurung, Buddhi Tamang, Wilson Bikram Rai, Raj Thapa Kaucha, Luniva Tuladhar, Bishwas Gurung, Maya Gurung, Yashili Rai, and others. According to Gurung, although the title evokes the story of a former Gurkha soldier, the film revolves around how a greedy man transforms into a generous one.
The story is also penned by Maotse Gurung. Producers include Mean Konme Gurung (Sikles), Bhoj Bahadur Gurung (UK), and Sapana Gurung. The production manager is DB Gurung, casting director Suraj Tamu, and music by Jhuma Limbu, Manoj Thapa Magar, and Shiv Baraili.
Gurung’s debut directorial film ‘Dayarani’ was a box office hit. He continues to be active in writing, directing, and acting.
RR Films, led by Rohit Kattel and Ratna Shrestha, will handle the nationwide distribution of the movie.
