Kathmandu – The filming of ‘Mitjyu’, the second film by director Anil Budha Magar (known for ‘Gharjai’), has officially begun. The first scene was shot during a ceremonial launch at Ambikeshwari Temple, Dang, on the occasion of Basant Panchami, according to the production team.
Producer Janak Gharti Magar stated that ‘Mitjyu’ is a socially themed film, with shooting planned across multiple locations in Dang and Rolpa. The production formally commenced with a traditional religious ritual.
The film stars Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla, Teriya Fauja Magar, Pushkar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Raj Thapa, Suvarna Thapa, Anu Thapa, Smita Lamichhane, Arun Pun Magar, Uttam Raj Pandey, Savin Kattel, Umesh Sonam, Pavitra Khadka, Chahana Rana Magar, Anusha Rai, and Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabpu) in key roles.
Key production members include assistant directors Anil Dahal, Sanju Nepali, and Elmina Rai, with Firoz Khadka as main assistant director. Kishor Nepal (production design), Sangita Roka Magar (costume design), Lokesh Bajracharya (editor), Shishir Shishankhel (cinematographer), Prabhat Bista (action director), Naveen Shrestha (sound design), and Shreekrishna Bam Malla (music) are part of the creative team.
According to the producers, the film will be distributed by RR Films and is scheduled for release on May 29, coinciding with Republic Day celebrations in Nepal.
