Kathmandu – The shooting of the film ‘Kalli’, scheduled for release on Falgun 1, has been completed. The final sequence, an item dance featuring actress Pooja Sharma, was shot in Chobhar, marking the end of the film’s 60-day production, according to producer Kiran Nepali.
The majority of the filming took place in Jumla. Actress Pooja Sharma performed in the song ‘Kya Ramri’, with music by Ashish Aviral, choreography by Ramji Lamichhane, vocals by Ashish Aviral and Melina Rai, and lyrics by Surendra Rana. Sharma said she was immediately drawn to the song and was excited to perform an item dance for the first time in her career. Actor Uttam Pradhan, Kiran Shrestha, and Sulakshan Bharti also performed in the song.
Produced under Lekali Entertainment and Kasturi Production, the film is written by Mahesh Dawadi and directed by Laxman Sunar. The cast includes Uttam Pradhan, Saugat Malla, Arpan Thapa, Benisha Hamal, Sulakshy an Bharti, Nazir Hussen, Barsha Raut, Begum Nepali, Binod Neupane, Rear Rai, Priyana Acharya, Arjun Gurung, Sanjok Rana, Geeta Adhikari, Kul Bahadur Adhikari, Saraswati Khatri, and Shyam Magar. Child actors Upesh Dhakal, Manjila Baniya, and Samarpan Khatiwada also feature in the film.
Cinematography by Nisal Paudel (DOP), editing by Milan Shrestha, music by Ashish Aviral, Sarit Rai, and Ketan Kshetri, production headed by Suraj Acharya. The teaser has already been released and well-received by audiences.
According to the production team, the film tells a story of gods and demons, with the item song scheduled for release shortly.
