Kathmandu – Actor Arpan Thapa has officially announced his upcoming film ‘French Kiss’, which will be produced under A.T.F. Production Pvt. Ltd. The launch ceremony was held on Friday at Ganesh Temple, Kamaladi, Kathmandu, coinciding with Saraswati Puja (Basant Panchami).
Thapa will also direct the film and play the lead role. Filming is set to begin on Monday at various locations in Chitwan.
The film will feature Thinley Lhamo, internationally recognized for her performance in the acclaimed movie ‘Shambala’. Thinley has previously won the prestigious ‘Boccalino d’Oro’ award at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland for outstanding acting.
Other lead actors include Gauri Mall and Ayesha Tamang. Executive producer: Saugat Basnet, co-producer: Subhash B. Shahi, cinematography: Sudip Baral.
Music will be composed by renowned singer and musician Deepak Bajracharya, and publicity design handled by Royal Bhimsen (Trident Concept). The production team aims to release the film by 2026.
The title suggests a story centered on youth and romance, and with Arpan Thapa’s distinct style in both acting and direction, the film is expected to offer Nepali audiences a fresh cinematic experience.
