Kathmandu. The release of the Nepali film Kalli has been officially postponed. Production house Lekali Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. announced the decision citing the country’s ongoing national election period.
The film was originally scheduled for nationwide release on Falgun 1. However, considering the sensitive political environment, public focus, and national priorities during the election period, the producers decided to delay the screening, according to a statement issued by producer Kiran Nepali.
The production team emphasized the belief that “Nation comes first, then art and entertainment.” A new release date will be announced once the post-election environment becomes stable and favorable.
The producers also expressed gratitude toward audiences, film professionals, and media personnel, stating that the short delay will help bring the film to viewers in an even stronger and more impactful way.
Kalli had already generated notable curiosity among audiences prior to its planned release.
