Films Like The Blue Light Are Rare, Says Arpan Thapa

Kathmandu. Actor Arpan Thapa has described the psychological thriller The Blue Light as a rare kind of film in the Nepali cinema landscape. According to him, a project of this depth and style requires a visionary director like Baliram Chauhan.

Speaking during the film’s launch ceremony, Thapa said, “Many films are made, but a film like The Blue Light doesn’t come along often. It needs a director with a distinct vision like Baliram Chauhan.” He praised several scenes and the film’s presentation, adding that audiences will gain a deeper experience after watching it.

Thapa, who is also known as a director and writer, noted that the film’s psychological layers will leave viewers thinking long after the screening.

Made in the psychological thriller genre, The Blue Light stars Benisha Hamal, Arpan Thapa, Ayushman Desraj Joshi, Srishti Shrestha, Mahesh Tripathi, and Surakshya Itani in lead roles, with child actors Grishma Katuwal and Sahara Sharma also appearing.

The film is set for release on Magh 16 and is directed by Baliram Chauhan. Presented by Skyfall Pictures, the film is co-produced by Bholanath Katuwal and Raman Grey, with cinematographer Narendra Mainali and actress Benisha Hamal serving as executive producers.

Cinematography is handled by Narendra Mainali, with Aakash Ukheda as chief assistant director, Raleesha Shrestha as production designer, and Dilip Pant as production controller.
