Nepal Film Board Opens Applications for 11 Skill-Based Training Programs

Kathmandu — The Film Development Board has announced 11 professional training programs under the “Film Workers Capacity Enhancement Year–2082,” aiming to strengthen technical and creative skills in Nepal’s film sector.

According to the board, the programs fall under the approved annual plan for the fiscal year 2082/83. Interested film professionals must submit their applications within 10 days from the date of the official notice.

Application forms can be downloaded from the board’s website and submitted via email to [email protected]. Priority will be given to applicants who have actively worked in the relevant field for the past five years. The order of application submission will also be considered during the selection process.

The board has advised applicants to contact its office directly for additional information.

Training areas include:

  • Sound Mixing and Post-Production

  • Spot Sync Sound

  • Photo and Media Journalism

  • Drone Operation

  • Makeup Training

  • AI Conference

  • Swimming and Horse Riding

  • Orientation on Copyright, Cyber Safety, and Mental Health

  • Screenwriting Workshop

  • Color Correction Workshop

  • Cinematography Workshop

The board said the initiative is expected to significantly enhance the capacity of Nepal’s film workforce.
